Description & Services

Information Northumberland Karate is Pictou County’s oldest Karate Dojo, established in 1973. We are a non-profit organization that provide traditional Karate instruction in a layered training format. Students of all ages enjoy the benefits of improved fitness, confidence and self esteem. With our mandated and innovative teaching curriculum, every student that enters the Dojo is treated as a potential instructor.

Our Dojo boasts a student base of 60+ members consisting of Kids (7-12 yrs), Juveniles (13 - 17 yrs) & Adults (18+ yrs). The curriculum includes Kata (Regular, PK & Jiyu), Kihon including 10 Waza's and Kumite (Gohan, Sanbon, Ippon & Free Sparring).
